Sounds like there’s a cloud of depression following more than a couple of young rappers these days. Great People of Orlando, some of the greater people from the not-so-great Orlando, start off the sadness with a glossed over, too stoned to remember tune “Orange U High?” The lyrics at times are silly, yes, but some blue feeling undoubtedly creeps behind the scenes. “I just need some orange juice”

Who is Skizzy Mars? Well, he sounds like a younger Lil’ Wayne but with more problems to talk about (though certainly not more money). “I think I think too much/ I’m gonna stop thinking/ I think I drinking too much/ I ain’t gonna stop drinking.” Anyway, the bloggers are all raving about him and his adolescenceness. I like the son with its Ratatat-esque beats myself but can’t tell if this squirt has what it takes to fuck around with the rest of them (wannabe) gangstas.
