Florence and the Machine – “Swimming”

Florence and the Machine has hooked me and lost me over the course of their run. Their 2009 release, Lungs, got me for life with “Kiss With A Fist” (plus if you are a fan of the Criterion Collection classic St. Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold, it’s featured there). But since then she became an indie darling and I didn’t feel like her entire library quite merited the hype. Then came Ceremonials. We previewed “Shake It Out” last week – now, thanks to TheMusic.Fm, it’s “Swimming” that’s stuck in my head. I should just accept Florence Welch is going to be a recurring figure in my library and get on with it.
