Motion Sickness of Time Travel – “Song of Zenana”

Motion Sickness of Time Travel

Motion Sickness of Time Travel, the drone-based musical project of Rachel Evans, has been releasing ambient drone albums for awhile now and has 35 albums on her bandcamp to prove she’s serious.  This most recent release, “Song of Zenana”, part of a split album with Aloonaluna, showcases the gentle side of Evans.  There is a tonal jumble of analog synths that provides the grounding here, while her voice, soaked in reverb and delay and sounding a bit like Grouper’s Liz Harris, floats contemplatively through it all.
