Buried Beds – “Stars”

“Stars” lives up to the glitter evocation of its name; Buried Beds have crafted a shimmering example of modern country pop. Soft harmonies melt in and out of dazzling piano and violin work while drums march along in the background. “Stars” is slick and straightforward bluegrass by way of Arthur’s Avalon. I imagine that this is what Mumford and Sons would sound like if they let some wizards into the band and reeled the overwrought howling in a peg.
